Monday evening and Tuesday 9AM classes got off to a good start in spite of the numerous summer activities going on! Click here for Lesson #1: Tai Chi Posture, Tai Chi Walk Commencing Form, Parting the Horse's Mane, White Crane Spreads its Wings Vitamin F This is so true!!!! I loved this and wanted to share it with you... Why do I have a variety of friends and family who are all so different in character? How is it possible that I can get along with them all? I think that each one helps to bring out a "different" part of me. With one of them I am polite. With another I joke. I can sit down and talk about serious matters with one. With another I laugh a lot. I listen to one friend's problems. Then I listen to another one's advice for me. My friends and family are like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. When completed, they form a treasure box. A treasure of friends and family! They are my friends and family who understand me better than I understand myself. They're friends who support me through good days and bad. Real Age doctors tell us that friends and family are good for our health. Dr. Oz calls them Vitamin F (for Friends and Family) and counts the benefits of friends and family as essential to our well being.
Research shows that people in strong social circles have less risk of depression and terminal strokes. If you enjoy Vitamin F constantly you can be up to 30 years younger than your real age. The warmth of friendship stops stress and even in your most intense moments, it decreases the chance of a cardiac arrest or stroke by 50%. I'm so happy that I have a stock of Vitamin F! In summary, we should value our friends and family and keep in touch with them. We should try to see the funny side of things and laugh together and pray for each other in the tough moments. Thank you for being one of my Vitamins! everydaytaichi students suggested having our own special t-shirts to show our pride and sense of ohana.
By popular request, our Hanes Cool Dry T-Shirts are now available. What a neat way to begin our new season! As we begin yet another brand new session as if to start all over again, we all know that our learning never ends when it comes to learning tai chi. We know that we can work on refining our movements. If we look at previous tai chi performances and compare them to what we do today, we can see progress and growth in how we do our tai chi. Below is just a few videos of yester years that exemplifies what I mean. Take special note of all the ones who are still in class today!! Click here for more everydaytaichi Oldies but Goodies.
