Happy campers show off their stuff to Popo and Gungie...in spite of a fire drill & scary creatures7/11/2019 At the UH Lab school's summer program, Sophia brushes egg wash on top of a class made apple pie...mmm good! Andrew and friend teamed up to program their robot to do a figure 8...wow...they had fun learning to code at age 9! Sophia was artsy with a custom made tie dye shirt, a lantern, a shiny pendant, game markers and other out of this world items in her recycled art class! ...while Colin, now almost 2 years old, in less than one week from today, strategizes to win a game of Chinese checkers...playing against Popo! another...never a dull moment...with a huge ol' scary guy out in the back! Today, Popo and Gungie visited Andrew and Sophia's class at the UH Lab school. We were fascinated and impressed with all the various activities their teachers had them do! We could see how inspired our grandchildren were as they spent time with enthusiastic, creative and energized teachers.
Going to the open house, Popo walked down memory lane because some 50 years ago she, too, took her college of education courses on this very campus of Wist Hall annex just off of Metcalf Street. It is reassuring to know that UH College of Education program continues to grow and improve over the many years. Mahalo to UH Lab School summer program for providing this special opportunity to our family and community! From our dining room window, baby Colin watched what fascinates him the most, trucks, especially garbage trucks! Baby watched Gong Gong scoop out baby tilapias from the aquaponic tank. Here baby and ken show off a shelf that he put together using recycled planks. While Popo spent hours working on a new 2019 Non Instructional CD...getting Apple online support and piecing together footage for an improved audio file. ...in between playing trucks - cars- choo choo train, picking pikake and plucking mint, watercress, basil and thyme for tasting!
