Hi Lucy, Oh my! Thank you for the nice feature in your blog. I'm usually pretty low key, so it's a first to have such a starring role. But for the record, I'm not a "super lady." Doing LTK and tai chi after the marathon, along with getting into the ocean, are keys to my race recovery. Some "experts" say no exercising at all in the days following a full marathon, while others say that doing exercises like tai chi, yoga, and swimming are okay because they're low impact, stimulate circulation, and include stretching. I'll be taking a break from most of my other exercise classes for the next week or two, but I'm glad that I'll be able to at least practice tai chi and LTK. We must not forget that you told me that you did our warm up exercise to get yourself ready as you prepared for the marathon at 2AM. keep up the good work, lucy Congratulations to everydaytaichi student Phyllis who completed the Honolulu Marathon yesterday, December 8, 2013. It was her 7th marathon. This morning, she was sporting her brand new, bright, Honolulu Marathon shirt as she participated in 8AM Luk Tung Kuen Chinese exercise at Kahala Mall. After that, she did Yang style tai chi non-instructional session for 45 minutes at Aina Koa Park! Do you agree that Phyllis has terrific conditioning and stamina? Well, after her busy workouts, Phyllis treated herself to a swim at Sans Souci beach in Waikiki!! WOW, is all I can say...where does she get all her energy? Could she be super lady? Look carefully and you should be able to spot another everydaytaichi student also wearing the Honolulu Marathon finishers' shirt. It's Val who is so proud of her hubby, our park director, Sam Wong, who also completed the marathon. Congratulations to Sam too!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
