Why: everydaytaichi lucy's community event in conjunction with the world wide event to inform others of the value of tai chi and its many health benefits.
Our 2nd Annual World Tai Chi Day event was very special. Lucy dedicated our program to her mother, Alice Lau Lo who is 98 YO. Alice, in the past, has been in perfect attendance and provided much support for Lucy's teaching of both tai chi and Luk Tung Kuen Chinese exercise classes. She continues to tune into Olelo54 and enjoys watching our tai chi broadcasts.

It will be a week tomorrow that our WTCD event was held. I wanted to share a few comments with you from people who saw our program.
-We really liked your tai chi program, your students did so well. Everyone was following so nicely.
-When the program ended, I said to myself, “ What, it’s so short, how can it end!”
-Watching you folks dance was so relaxing, I really enjoyed it.
-Even the men were dancing, and the one who stood here and the taller one did so well.
-I was your student some 7 years ago, and I saw your program last year. Your teaching has changed. You make your students put their feet out at a certain place.
-I want to take your class because you can just follow and do it. It looked so easy.
-A generous spectator passed out Jamba Juice gift cards to a few of us after seeing how hard we worked and saw our beads of sweat.
-Wow, you were so graceful and smooth. I wish I could do that.
-Thank you very much for sending the pic, busy as you are. Had a good time at the luncheon and felt that the WTD Program went well. I still marvel at your multi-tasking!!!!! Many thanks to you, Ken and Victor for all your hard work. June
-Congratulations! It went very well. Proud to be a part of it! Thank you! Jean
-It was fun today, everybody enjoying tai chi at their own pace.
You looked nice and hope the viewers got to hear some of your tai chi pointers.
Glad to see your mom, too. She looked good, too.
Nice photos of you, your mom and Dave.
Thanks for your hard work.
How nice to get such positive responses! :))) Penny
Hi Lucy and Ken
Thank you both for your tremendous effort and patience to encourage all of us to learn tai chi for enjoyment and good health.
We all enjoyed WTCD because of your support and kindness and our luncheon was super.
Great food with a wonderful group of friends.

Sifu Lucy!
Donald and I congratulate you on your successful and impressive presentation with your students and team ( Ken et al) to celebrate World Tai Chi Day.
It was wonderful to see your mom and David! Give her our best regards.
It was also a pleasure to see friends like Penny, Ron, Victor, Lillian (who was my CT and later colleague at McKinley High) and Jan (another accomplished home ec teacher) and friends in the audience like Gayle Sugita! They did really well!.
Loved your beautiful red embroidered Chinese jacket and the comfortable, black sock/booties! Your students wore their Everyday Tai Chi shirts with pride and ease!
The multiple tai chi sets were awesome. Everyone did so well. You led your students masterfully and your directions were clearly stated! Good job!
We look forward to your video on your website and/or Olelo!
WTCD presentation by you and the group was inspiring and well done- time well spent! Thanks!
Wonderful to know that you have so many nice as well as accomplished people as students! Aloha,
Pat
P.S. Your dedication and passion have fantastic results! For you, everyday is World tai chi Day!
Hi Lucy,
Thank you very much for the info. re May 1, and for the WTCD video. I very much appreciate all of the hard work you do in keeping us informed and engaged with tai chi via your website and classes. It will be almost 5 years since I happened upon the LTK class and joined in out of curiosity, and met you because you were teaching that day. You told me about your tai chi classes, and I was very happy because learning tai chi was on my retirement bucket list. Thanks to patient, meticulous, and demanding (in a good way) instruction from you and Ken, I have learned so much and am enjoying my tai chi journey. The added bonus has been meeting so many wonderful people and enjoying being part of the Everyday Tai Chi ‘ohana. Many thanks to you and Ken for facilitating these wonderful opportunities! Phyllis
Others asked more specifically about where and when tai chi classes would be held.
On the whole, all comments I heard were very positive.
YOU really did a great job. We marvel at you all as we watch the footage over and over again. lucy
