Dr. Joseph Young was inaugurated as the Honorary Mayor of Chinatown
last night at the Chinese Cultural Plaza among a huge crowd of well
wishers. Mayor Kirk Caldwell and the city council staff spoke of our
everydaytaichi student and his endless contribution to the Chinatown
community. He is appropriately nicknamed, the Mighty Joe Young. His
wife, Barbara was also recognized as was his family.
After the colorful swearing in ceremony, everyone gathered for for another festive dinner banquet of elaborate Chinese entrees with music, distinguished guests and friendship all stemming from the numerous lives The Honorable Dr. Joseph Young has touched in his impressive career!
