After touring Cambodia and seeing the Bas Relief works of art we were awe struck with the amount and quality of the Gold in the temples and palaces of Bangkok and Chang Mai. The brightness of the gold along with the sunlight really made our visit a special one as the sites were lavish in the richness in their artwork.
The Day Market of Warorot will be much remembered as we gazed at the delicacies of worms, frogs, and snails. The various spices of cinnamon, anise, curry, and goji berries were readily available as well as the specially flavored pork rinds everyone felt that was a great item to bring home to share!
The many gold chains of all lengths and styles all strung together and glittered even in the dimly lit stalls were an awesome sight.
As a change of pace to cruise on the Chao Phraya River and view the many floating villages including Churches and markets as a great experience.
How could we forget the huge and numerous schools of catfish splashing on us as we eagerly fed them bread??
Our numerous first time, possibly once in a lifetime experience were done here in Thailand too.
We fed the elephants who not only wanted the green bananas and sugarcane, but they were smart to smell currency too and let us know what we should offer them!!
The oxcart ride and river rafting on a bamboo raft were also highlights in Bangkok.
Last but not least our visit to see the Women of Karen and their Long Necks was an eye opener too!
