On a very typical weekend morning we took a road trip along the coastal towns and headed north to Freeport, Maine. The day was very gray, wet with heavy rain and cold East Coast weather for us who are so use to our temperate Hawaiian climate of the Pacific. We stopped at a roadside seafood drive in where we had some very fresh and ono fried scallops and clams. There Andrew played on a red lobster chair to his liking so he could stand and greet the guests who came in to eat! The bird houses that were on display were cleverly built as buoys. At LL Bean we had fun at the huge aquarium and got to be up close to the Land Lock Salmon and Brown and Rainbow Trout as well as exceptionally large brook trouts. Les with the suggestion of Stu ordered fly fishing rods for Ken. Although our stay was very short in Freeport both enrolled in Fly Fishing Class and had a full hour of private lessons. Susan, Andrew and Popo went outlet shopping instead.
