October is a month full of celebrations for the CHUN/ Lo family. lucy's grandson Brennan turned 20 Our daughter, Clarissa and her husband, Frank, celebrate their birthdays on the same day! lucy' s tai chi website, everydaytaichi.org was launched on lucy's mom's birthday, Oct. 7 We also celebrate niece, Kathryn and her husband, Dan's Oct. birtthdays As well as lucy's brother, Bob's and his wife Louise's birthdays just 2 days apart from each other. October 10 also is the 10th anniversary of Les and Susan, which also marks the birthday of Susan's dad!! Click on the play arrow, below, to hear how we sang Happy Birthday to everyone in the chronological order. Lucy's daughter, Clarissa, and grandson, Ethan are visiting from San Francisco. Every day we have a special itinerary of activities that make their visit memorable. At 8pm these 3 are out to go torching at Tai Tai's Kuliouou park. The tide is low at this hour and the wind is not blowing!

Rice and beans were seasoned with 5 spice, fresh ginger and oyster sauce. Diced bananas were tossed in after rice was cooked. To the steamed bittermelon a sauce of preserved black beans and peanut butter, vinegar, maple syrup and shoyu added the finishing touches to a very tasty dish.
