Try it, you'll love it!
This is my first attempt to cook sticky rice using only plant base ingredients. It was a thumb's up recipe. I flavored the rice with vegetarian oyster sauce by adding it to the water in the rice cooker. As the rice was cooking I stir fried other ingredients. To a pan of little oil I added chopped garlic, ginger and anise. To this I then added some shoyu, vegetarian oyster sauce, char siu sauce, hoisin and toasted sesame seeds. As it simmered, I gradually added Shiitake mushrooms, taro cubes, and red dates. When the rice was steaming I added all the ingredients in and stirred well. Lastly, I added diced up bananas and honey roasted peanuts.

Step 1: Dry fry taro with crushed almonds, brown rice sprinkled with sesame seeds and flavored with vegetarian oyster sauce. Don't forget the diced takuwan and green onions. Step 2: Pan fry with little oil yam chunks, then when brown douse with coconut milk, add little maple syrup. Add to it pan fried tofu. Mint goes well with these ingredients. Gently fold in the ingredients for a casserole with very little oil, lots of exotic flavors when added together it's out of this world!
