There were many who wished to inherit it but the problem was, how the heck does one transport it?
NO one in their right mind would attempt to lift this 400 + pound heavy duty floor safe of antiquity for fear of breakin' their backs!
It was finally resolved by using professional movers which made it look very easy to do.
To add to this story ... approximately 40 years ago, David and his attorney friend who owned a pick up truck and also a hand truck moved this very safe from the Lo family home on Nehoa Street to Kuliouou.
At the front door, our own father helped to lift this heavy bugga up 5 flights of stairs.
Wow, I can picture how this safe was heavy as "elephants."
Maybe, that's why Grampa coined the phrase and repeated over and over in our youth,
" Elephants are HEAVY."
