PRESERVATI0N Legacy and History This effort will capture, preserve and aggregate the names of those who served in the U.S. Armed Forces—Army, Army Air Corps, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and Merchant Marine—and creating the only database of its kind of the achievements and contributions of Chinese Americans during the Second World War. The perpetuation of their legacy enriches the history of this country. Do you have stories, documents, or other materials about the Chinese Americans in WWII? Help us preserve these memories. Prior to registering, please review the registration instructions. For questions, please contact us. My father, William Yee Chung Lo, is a World War II veteran.
This is my new project to register him as a Chinese American who served in World War II. I will submit certificates of service as dad served in the U. S. Navy. He and other Chinese Americans who served in the military will receive their Congressional Gold Medal that will be on display in the Smithsonian Institute. I will do my part in helping to preserve the legacy of my father and fellow veterans who served and protected our country. Baby Colin is now 20 months old. See him concentrate so hard to place all the ABC cubes into the tray and then fit the cover on...then take a bow! He then moves onto playing Chinese checkers, another bit of exercising his fine motor skills. Then, pressing the button to the toy blender of some 40 years old from his Aunty's toy inventory. Gets his calculator to figure out the winning score as if he's practicing texting! Baby Colin also hums the tune to "Old McDonald" as he plays with the vintage hand blender! But, he's still a very active little guy with the Pilates ball in the last clip of the video below! We are so busy in class that it is time for me to give you some important information that could be helpful and practical.

The daikon or white radish was steamed with garden fresh green beans, green onions and boiled peanuts that ken grew! The green mustard cabbage was also from our garden. It added a nice accent to the white radish cake and gave a nice counter taste, too. |
